He enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking his land, driving the 4 wheeler, and tending to his beloved barn cats. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him great joy and happiness. Francis Richter, a long time member at St. Peter passed away January 6, 2021. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Peter Church. Frank served in the US Navy for 16 years. Then after moving to the Cameron area he worked for both the Village of Cameron and the City of Barron. After retirement, Frank enjoyed woodworking in his woodshop everyday. Frank had deep love for his family and his church. Anna Nelson passed away on Thursday, November 5th at Meadowbrook in Chetek. Anna was a long time member at St. Boniface, served as a member of the St. Boniface Ladies Guild many years and everyone always enjoyed Anna and her beautiful smile. Anna loved gardening and then canning and freezing and enjoying the fruits of all her hard work. Anna was a loving mother to all of her sixteen children. Robert Harings passed away on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Boniface on Friday, October 9th. Bob worked as a truck driver for years and also farmed the family farm in Chetek. Bob married Kay on May 14th, 1960. They raised five children. Bob loved watching and playing sports. He enjoyed polka dances and making people laugh. Kay was very active at St. Boniface. Always willing to give a helping hand and tending to the plants. Dorothy Wilson, long-time member of St. Peter, Cameron passed away on Friday, September 18th. Dorothy was active in the community as well as the church as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Don Scott, of St. Boniface parish, was called home at the age of 80 on September 15th. Don served our country bravely, starting his service right after his high school graduation and throughout his life in various positions. He loved the life of the northwoods and his wife dearly. Father Bala's dad, Policetty Lourdaiah passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Though none of our parish family had met Policetty Lourdhaiah, we know he must have been a good man who helped to create a wonderful son, who has now blessed our parish cluster with his presence as our priest. To honor his father, Fr. Bala will be celebrating a memorial mass on Monday, August 31st at 11am at St. Peter. All are welcome to join us for this service. A long-time member and servant of the parish of St. Boniface, John Matisko, passed away on August 20, 2020. Thanks to his love of God, he served for over 38 years in the church - usher, eucharistic minister, Knights of Columbus, Financial Trustee, parish council member and as one of the famous chicken dinner grill masters through the years. John will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in those whose life he touched including his wife Nancy, his son John and many other friends and family. August 29, 1949 - June 29, 2020. Deborah Jean Anderson (Freeland), age 70, was given her angel wings and went home to heaven on June 29, 2020 with her family by her side. Debbie was an active member of St. Peter's parish along with her husband, Tom. She was known for her kindness and giving heart and will be missed dearly.
John Nesseth of St. Boniface Parish passed away in his home on May 22. John ushered for many years at the parish and his friendly greetings and conversations will be greatly missed by many.
