A Christmas Message from Fr. Chandra

My dear brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

At the outset I wish You all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2025. My dear friends, as all of you know, Christmas is joy, hope, love and peace to the humankind. Through His birth, the child Jesus brought a spark of love and grace to the entire universe. Christmas is a bridge between the nations, families, and all people with God. This is why we reconnect with one another and share love because the child Jesus is the source of grace and mercy. 

Let me take this opportunity to thank all of you, who make my stay here steady and smooth. You have been so supportive and encouraging to me in my ministry here for the past three years. I am filled with joy to share with you that I have completed 10 years of my priestly life on December 3, 2024. When I look back in this journey as a priest, I only see the mercy of God in my life. That mercy is the guiding principle that leads me forward. Grace upon grace was sent by God to me. I am indebted to the almighty for all His benevolence, love and care for me. 

This year the Holy Mother Church announced a Jubilee Year 2025, and our Pope Francis released a papal bull, “Spes Non Confundit”, which means "Hope does not disappoint." It will be a year of hope for the world. We have to become a hope to the hopeless people through our prayers, fasting and almsgiving. We are the instruments of the child Jesus in the modern world. We received His light at our baptism and we have to share this Light with all the people in the world wherever it is needed. 

Once again, may the child Jesus bless You and all your families. May He guide and guard you in the days to come. May you experience the illumination of His glorious light in your path.
