Blessing of the Food

The blessing of the food is a well-established tradition at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (ABVM) in Strickland. It symbolizes breaking of the fast of Lent. We encourage families to continue this practice by bringing baskets of food containing bread, eggs, sausage, horseradish, salt, etc., to be blessed at the Easter Sunday Mass at ABVM in Strickland.
